TARA Energy No Grace Period Houston, Texas
Warning: There is no grace period with TARA Energy. If you cannot pay on or before the exact due date, regardless of when you're paid, you will incur a sizable late fee. It doesn't matter if you are on Social Security, a fixed income, or disabled, etc. There is no flexibility with this company for even one day. After 5 days from due date, you receive a disconnect notice. I
cannot recommend this company, nor will I renew my contract.

Unnecessary and Costly Rip-off

Well-managed companies have a grace period as normal policy. TARA Energy is the only company in over 30 years of my experience that has absolutely no grace period. Many customers find TARA payment policies unacceptable and unworkable--per TARA customer service. At the least, not having a grace period is outside customary business practice, untenable, and a costly rip-off for those who have no alternative payment date within normal policy.

and your part of that is to pay on time, EVERY time.
They DO not and CANNOT care about your payday, your financial condition or disablity.
Why should they?
It's extra work for them to contact you and then possibly have to disconnect and reconnect your service.
This is deifnitely NOT a Ripoff on their part.
I think you'll find, when you contract with another company, we'll be hearing from you again on Ripoff Report...just a prediction.
BTW, ONE day late IS late.
