Complaint Review: Target

Target Poor Customer Service Internet

I ordered two items online at target.com on Feb 10, 2008 for a baby shower to be sent to Illinois. I got the first and only email on March 25, 2008 telling there was a delay with my order. Come on, six weeks later to tell me my order hasn't shipped. Then target wanted my approval to continue to try and get these items. One item would be delivered April 1-9 (7-8 weeks after it was ordered) and the other item would be delivered May 30-June 3 (15-16+ weeks after it was ordered). I called to cancel my order and my account.

They tried to make it sound like I'd be missing something if I cancelled, but I don't see it that way. People today work hard for their money and can spend it anywhere they want. Can you believe it took six weeks for them to notify me. They must not value my business. Not to mention how embarassed I was when my nephew did't get the gift. I've already purchased locally and sent it myself. I won't use target.com again and doubt I go into one of their stores again.

Under each item on Target's website is information about whether or not the item is in stock, and when it will be shipped. I.E., "Item is in stock and ready to ship within 24 hours." Or, "Item is expected to arrive within 4-8 weeks, preorder item now."

Obviously if you choose to buy an item that is not in stock, you are going to have to wait for it. How are they going to ship you something right away when they don't even have it in their possession?
