My son was given a pair of pajamas for Christmas from a distant relative. Unfortunately they were too small, and the only thing I wanted to do was exchange them for another pair; more expensive to be exact. Sadly, they wouldn't let me. They said they were a "seasonal" pair of PJ's. What??? I'm confused........

Correct me if I'm wrong, could they sell them for the same price again? Yes. Would a customer walk out being happy? Yes. Would they have made more money on another item that I would've bought? Yes.
So what is wrong with this picture?????

Can't they just give people a break; at least at Christmas time?

"Seasonal" says it all

If the pajamas were seasonal, they would have been clearanced lower and lower and finally removed from the system completely. Once an item has been completely clearanced out of the system, it can no longer be returned or exchanged without a valid receipt. If you scan the item's barcode, a red screen will pop up that says "Item not on file." And when it reaches that point, there's absolutely nothing we can do without a valid receipt. Your best bet would be to try and retrieve the original receipt or a gift receipt. I don't think that would be considered rude if you explained to the gift-giver that you needed to exchange for size.
