Target Unauthorized charges on credit card Target refuses to resolve

After placing a legitimate online order at Target.com, two (2) unauthorized charges from Target appeared on my credit card account. After speaking with several Target customer service reps - all of whom refused to do anything - I called my credit card company, which informed me nothing could be done until the pending charges were processed, but if Target contacted my credit card company to confirm these charges were unauthorized, the charges would be removed from my account. I was transferred to Target's Order Verification/Fraud department. The person I spoke with at Target's Fraud division (Nat, I.D#384112) refused to contact my credit card company to confirm these still pending charges were not legitimate. Obviously, Target is indifferent to the possibility that one of their employees either made a mistake or is attempting to steal from its customers. These pending charges remain on my credit card account and still tie up the total amount of the unauthorized charges. I must wait thirty (30) days for my credit card company to resolve these unauthorized charges because Target refused to do anything. Consider this a cautionary tale - Target employees are engaging in fraud and the corporate line is... do nothing to protect customers.
