Tax Deferred Services Teachers Beware of dishonest deceitful slimy sales San Jose California
I responded to a mailing soliciting workers who might be interested in selling investment products to educators. I thought it might be interesting to check this opportunity out. After a week of playing phone tag, a gentleman by the name of Randy called and asked if we could talk for 5 minutes. I wasn't too busy so I agreed.
He explained that his company, in short, had a corner on the 457 plan administration market in Santa Clara County. He went on to give me his sales pitch which was riddled with inaccuracies and partial truths about various securities products.
He said they were endorsed by the California School Board Association. I hope the CSBA knows what they have gotten themselves into because this guy is one slimy salesman.
This business targets financially ignorant school teachers. They have slick sales pitches. Slimy!
School teachers, BEWARE!!!! I did not get far enough into the presentation to see the products and analyze them, but I assume they are decent. Unfortunately, the registered rep is the person you trust and if the registered rep is slimy, you don't have a prayer, except to walk away.
