TAX READY Doesn't honor 30 day refund policy

I responded to an advertisement on a Christian Radio Station here in Detroit, Michigan for Tax Ready Services to receive a free cassette with Tax Tips. After speaking at length with the Customer Service Representative I agreed to try the program because I was told based upon the information that I gave the Customer Service Representative "DeShawn" that Tax Ready could file amended returns for my family from prior years to get refunds for items we didn't know we could claim. They also promised $3,000 in refunds on out annual tax returns. DeShawn advised that I would be eligible for a full refund if not satisfied if I cancelled after allowing them to work on the case for 1 week. I cancelled the service about two weeks later after failed attempts to have a "coaching session" with a very curt representative. I faxed my written cancellation request on October 29, 2001 (which they confrim receiving). I had my compliance call about a week and half later. Every time I call they advise my refund will be issued in 0-30 days. The last time I called I was told I would have my refund no later than February 24, 2002. As of today, February 25, 2002 I have not received my refund. I call Tax Ready at least twice a week to no avail. I will take the advise listed on this website and file complaints with the Attorney Generals Office.
