I called Cory McAllister Certified Tax Consultant on Thursday March 13, 2008. I told him that I was currently filing Form 656; which is an Offer in Compromise, with the I.R.S. He said no problem the first thing Tax Masters will do is contact the I.R.S. and notify them that I have signed over power of attorney and that Tax Masters is representing me. Cory also explained to me not to contact the I.R.S. He said TAX MASTERS will handle all correspondence with I.R.S. So, I leave it with Cory and his staff  (BAD MISTAKE).

On Wednesday, April 23, 2008 I received a call from my payroll manager saying she has received a Notice of Levy on Wages by the I.R.S. They sent her documents to garnish wages in three days which puts a deadline of Friday, April 25. Nothing has been resolved, no contact or e-mail from Cory or any of my case workers. I called Cory and Juanita repeatedly to let them know that there was only 3 days to take care of this. To the time of writing this letter, no contact has been made with me or the I.R.S.

I called the I.R.S. April 25, 2008 and got the lien garnishment lifted and it didnt cost me a dime. The I.R.S. told me all this could have been avoided with just a phone call asking for an extension. Cory said they definitely called the I.R.S. to get tax information, but did not notify the I.R.S. that they were representing me. Like I said, I was doing this Offer in Compromise myself before Tax Masters, and I remember them telling me I had 90 days to complete the forms but if I needed more time to just call and let them know and they would give me more time.

All Cory, or Juanita or Celina had to do was to call the I.R.S. and let them know they are representing me. Imagine that!

In fact, my payroll manager told me when she called the I.R.S., they told her no one from Tax Masters has ever contacted their office; and when I spoke with the I.R.S, I asked if any representative from Tax Masters has contacted them and they told me NO. (I have name of agent and badge number of I.R.S. representative).

Due to the fact that TAX MASTERS mislead, lied and has put me in a worse situation with the I.R.S. than I was before, I have requested a FULL REFUND to be credited back to my credit card. Tax Masters has done absolutely nothing for me and I cannot imagine how they are still in business.

This company has an unsatisfactory report for a pattern of complaint activity regarding refunds and service. It is obvious that Tax Masters did nothing to help me and has put me in a worse position than I was before.

P.S. If I do not receive a full refund, I will be forced to pursue a class action lawsuit and I encourage any and all to join. If TaxMasters does what is right and refunds all my monies I will remove photographs and write a favorable rebuttal.
