John's latest rebuttals June 26 Hard to respond to unsigned complaints

#10Consumer Comment

John, John, John

I know you're getting the old timers disease, but come on now!You are starting to make yourself look like a real idiot at this point. I'm having a hard time keeping up with your confused little mind. You are starting to scare me; saying the same thing in every report you write. Just like all the emails. But you always miss the main points. Going around in circles to try and confuse everyone as much as you are. It's Jody in McDonough. You remember? The one with the unsigned complaint. Quote, "Since I have no idea who the individual is; it's difficult to respond." The reason you're having difficulty is because you are trying to keep track of your lies. It's not the rip off reports as much as all the BIG people in legal dept. You know it's all about to catch up with you huh? I would be scared too. But you can bet your Carma is coming soon. You have been doing this so long and getting away with it. When you said in your so called refund policy, which you've changed so many times. The videos will be there for everyone to see unless problems like, "Act of God" or some other stories. You need to be careful throwing all your failures on God.

Anyway I have too much to say and have been keeping up with you since Nov. 2011. When your faithful follower (Larry) called me and ripped me off $997.00. Why don't you let him start writting your rebutal as he is younger and wiser. He got me and that's now easy. I'm not going to let you know all my secrets, but you need to start bringing Larry out of the closet before you go down all by yourself. I know Larry is smarter than that so try to work your con job on him. And tell him to claim some of your fraudulent tactics. I bet he will leave you before you get a chance to get him to court. Anyway I have a life now after the trama, but believe me sweetie! It's not over by a long shot. I'll die before giving up on my childrens' money. I'll be in touch soon with more info. for all you people that's been hurt. Just wanted to let everybody know I'm not going anywhere until we all get our just reward. Jody in McDonough

What a Dumb Liar This John Lane is

#10Consumer Suggestion

Thu, June 28, 2012

This guy is totally unbelievable. Why would he even post to say the complaint is unsigned when it is clearly signed by Jody from McDonough GA. I have a hard time believing he had more than one Jody in that tiny town take his course in any kind of recent timeframe. Anyone with half a brain should know that people who read RoR have a little more sense than people who sign up for "get rich quick" schemes taught by con artists with dozens of consumer complaints. The only reason people like John Lane make a single sale is because they know how to reach consumers that do not check sites like RoR. Hey John, you really are better off just keeping your fat mouth shut. Your prospective customers don't come to this site, and your half-baked replies only serve to convince readers that you are a liar.

Hard to respond to unsigned complaints

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, June 27, 2012

Since I have no idea who the individual is it is difficult to respond.  We have done over 500,000 transactions in the past ten years and have had less than 30 complaints.

In this case the individual must have purchased the program some time ago as we have not offered a 125% guarantee because we found lots of individuals were trying to buy and then cancel so they could make 25% on their money.   Of course this individual does not tell the whole story...that guarantee required them to do something with what they learned in the course for the next year and after a year if they had done something and were not happy then they could get the guarantee.

One other thing that we found people doing is we offer over 1,100 pages of instructional material and we would have people who would buy the course, download all the materials and videos and then want a refund after attending six three hour training sessions.  That also got somewhat old.

Our students are offered a life capability to come back and take the course again at no charge or to just refresh their knowledge.

Since I can't address this individuals specific claims, as I have no idea who he/she is the simple fact they admit spending time on the site downloading materials does somewhat support our case.

Prove You Really Have a Recording John Lane & (Larry)

#10Consumer Comment

Fri, February 17, 2012

I wrote in on Jan 24th about Larry Lewis (salesperson) for taxsalelists. He talked an hour about nothing to do with a contract or videos that had to be watched. Only said to try it. You have nothing to loose and I will give you my personal no. to walk you through it. If you can turn on a computer, you can make 6 figure income like him (Larry) If you aren't sure or completely satisified with all I told you about the program then 100%money back. Nothing to loose. Don't worry. All I need for you to do is give me your ccd# to hold this rediculously low price. Then Larry would check back with me if a few weeks to see if I was ready to try this wonderful way to make money. Called a week later Nov. 8, 2011 to see if I could watch a video. Told him no and I would call him when ready. He was nice, apoligized and said "No Problem".  I have already contacted FTC, SEC of STATE, and Attorney General of Jefferson Co.  Also my bank Suntrust is fighting this.
Why can't you guys face up and let's hear the recordings. First. I don't believe you have that hour long recording when you called me Larry! If you do then Let's Bring It Out for all to hear. No Way Right? You are a liar and know you never mentioned anything about any videos or contracts of charges to my act. until I would be ready to do this. If I were ready.  Just Bring out that recording Larry. Please. Let everybody know what liers you all are at John Lane TaxSaleLists. Quickest way to rip off people of $1000.00 with a cheap talking conversation about how wonderful a family the Lane's are. Hopefully you will go down with all of them. Cody Mary Courtney Lindsey and father John.
Everyone, if you really are serious about getting your money back, then you better start sending some emails and calling some numbers. Also keep us updated on Ripoff Report. This is URGENT!!! Seriously

The facts are as follows

Mon, March 28, 2011

TaxSaleLists.com has an A+ Better Business Rating.   This individual is making statements that are either made due to not reading what is on the sign up page on our website or having forgotten what he read or was told.

The individual here, who seems unwilling to leave their name, seems to have not read anything about our guarantee.  We state clearly that if you cancel your registration for our workshop that there will be a charge.  The reason for that is pure economics.  We have a set number of people who can attend our workshop.  If you cancel right before it starts that means it is very unlikely that we will be able to fill that space.  Hence the charge, which is nominal, for late cancellation.

The one year guarantee that this individual speaks of is as follows:  WE GUARANTEE that if you USE our program for 12 months and are not completely satisfied we will give you 100% of your money back. You will have to show us some evidence that you actually did something.

This has nothing to do with canceling your registration prior to the workshop after you have already signed up.  That is covered on the sign up page and/or gone over by the salesman on the phone (which is recorded).  This is the text of that condition:

There is a $100 cancellation fee, if canceled prior to one week before the workshop, and a $250.00 cancellation fee after that time, as a cancellation keeps someone else from obtaining the scholarship. There are no cancellations or refunds once the workshop has started. All sessions are recorded and you can make up an absence by viewing the videos. All workshop dates are subject to change due to acts of God and/or equipment malfunction. If a workshop date needs to be changed
due to some event beyond our control it will be re-scheduled within 10 days.

Each class begins at 8:30 PM EDT and will run through 11:00 PM EDT

He was informed of these conditions at the time of purchase.

I bought John Lane's course about how to work and use the tools that he provides to you, for a fee, to buy and sell tax liens and deeds. The main thing he stresses is that you have to work, use his videos and your OWN judgement, to make this a good deal. A good deal is very subjective, for those who don't understand that word - what is good for you - may not be good for me. He tells you right off the first seminar that you have to work at this to make a good deal. He promises nothing EXCEPT that if you do not do the work necessary, you will not make money. Let me repeat that - If you do not work, you will not make money with his system. I don't know how it can get simpler than that.
The man is NOT a mind reader - he can't tell who is going to work. The man provides the tools through his course and if you do what he says to do, you will make money. Pretty simple folks. My name is Jim McNeely and if you don't agree - too bad. End of statement

The truth is an elusive critter

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, June 08, 2010

First, one at a time:
Our guarantee says if you use the program for 12 months and are not satisfied we will give you a 125% refund - it doesn't say if you buy our program and three days later want to cancel we are going to give you 125% refund.  If any can find somebody doing that, let me know, because I will buy $1,000,000 dollars worth immediately and make a $250,000 profit in three days.

What it does say on our website is that you cannot cancel after the workshop starts.  Why is that?  Simple, we give you access to 1,100 pages of material and 16 hours of videos that you can download the minute it starts.  We allow people to cancel before the workshop starts, but not after they have been given access to all the materials.

The individual in this case, who, apparently, doesn't want his name used, was not aware that we log every access to the site and the downloads done.  He had spent 15 hours on our site, had downloaded all the materials.

In that case, no, we are not giving a refund.

A rather misleading story has been given.

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

First, we tell all clients that they cannot get a refund once the workshop has started.  Why is that?  Simple.  We give them access to download over 1,100 pages of materials and 16 hours of videos when the workshop starts.  We have no way to "make" them give back that material once they have it.

If we allowed cancellations after the workshop started we would get all kinds of people who would buy the workshop, download all the class materials and videos and then cancel.

The cancellation policy on our web site says the following: * There is a $100 cancellation fee, if canceled prior to one week before the workshop, and a $250.00 cancellation fee after that time, as a cancellation keeps someone else from obtaining the scholarship. There are no cancellations or refunds once the workshop has started.

Our guarantee of 125% if you are not satisfied states that you have to use the program - same logic, if they don't use the program they would just buy it, hold on to it for a year, and try to make 25% on their money.

We have complete computer logs of all use of our website.  The individual in question did, in fact, download all the materials according to the computer logs.

Over the eight years we have been in business we have done over 500,000 transactions with our customers:  list sales, manual sales, workshop sales.  As of last count we have had less than 15 complaints.  I think that is a pretty darn good record.

John Lane Tax Sale Lists Very Deceptive

#10Consumer Comment

Fri, June 04, 2010

John Lane and his family operated Tax Sale Lists is very deceptive.

Any one who has had a hard time with Tax Sale Lists, please email me so we can go to Westminster, Colorado District Attorney's Office and file a complaint as a group.

They also are trying to steal my refund. I have had to battle them and they are very stubborn, they love money and they don't care about people.

Their program does not work. You can get the same information for free at your local county. The counties also post the rules and procedures.
