Complaint Review: TaxSaleLists

Larry Lewis of Tax Sale Lists, turned my holidays into tragedy with one phone call on Nov. 3rd 2011.
Still can't recover the loss. Emotional, financial, and physical pain for me and my son. Recently divorced, lost everything. I was desperate, going through my emails on my work computer. Trying to find some way to make money for Christmas with my son. I saw the ad from John Lane " tax sale lists" and listened to his video. I gave my email address and phone number to receive more information via email/video. That night on Nov. 3rd., I got a phone call from Larry Lewis with Tax Sale Lists. Very nice and personable guy. He was so excited that I was interested in the (greatest thing going) on how to make a lot of money fast. He talked all about himself for 30 min. and how he had quit his company in another state, making great money, to go to Colorado and start making 6 figure income in less than a year. John Lane was his mentor and daughter Lindsey was like a sister to him. Everybody is family trying to help these unfortunate people in foreclosure loosing their homes due to tax liens on their property. The county owes them money they don't know about and John Lane was doing a video to explain how to get back money owed them plus make 25%.

Larry had a way of talking that made me think he felt my pain and wanted to help me. Maybe I was just hoping for a miracle. He was going to walk me through everything and make sure I made my money back within 2 weeks if I joined up with him. I told him I couldn't do anything at this time as many things were going on in my life and not enough money. He said he couldn't hold that incredible price of $795 unless I gave him my bank debit card number to hold the price. I KNOW; DUMBEST move I ever made. Larry is one smooth talker and I pray he gets fired and is never able to do this to anyone else. After he called me again on Nov. 8 to see if I was ready to watch a seminar, I told him, I couldn't possibly tonight. I wasn't at work or near computer. He said "No Problem", just call him when I could talk. He gave me his personal cell number then emailed me next day saying he apologized for calling when I couldn't talk to him.

I have emails, but no conversation recorded. I never ever heard anything about all these videos, manuals, books and forms only being available on computer. That is crazy. I've read all the ripoff reports about DVD's and manuals to be returned unopened for refund but I've never seen a single piece of paper, book, DVD or even a contract with terms or conditions. All I did was have a conversation on the phone with Larry telling me how easy this all would be and he is there for me as long as I need him. My time is up here, so if anyone can give feedback, please do. I have talked to some legal reps and banks but nothing back yet. And Thanks Terr R. Ormond Beach for your input
in this scandal. We should all get together now and do something. This is out of control!
