Complaint Review: Taylor Reedy - TDR Tree Services

 I Called TDR Tree Services to request a quote to remove two tree stumps and peel 6 palm trees. Tylor Reedy shows up and quotes $1,600 which I later learned is double what should have been charged. I agree and pay him a down payment of $1,236 on the credit card.

My wife convinces me later that same day that due to COVID-19 virus we would be wise to push back the project for 3 months. The next morning I call to cancel the project. Tylor Reedy says then I owe him $150.00 for a quote from the prior day (who charges a fee to quote a job?). He said he would return call that evening after he got back to the office to discuss my options. No call from Taylor Reedy.

I called Tylor Reedy on Monday and again request him to cancel the project and return my $1,236 I paid as a down payment for the work.  He finally agrees and indicates he will call the bank to have the credit card transaction canceled.

It is now been over 6 weeks and I have yet to hear back from Tylor Reedy of TDR Tree Services. I have not had my $1,236 returned to me. I have not had any work performed. Tylor will not return my calls. Tylor Reedy of TDR Tree Services has conned me, lied to me, and has made off with $1,236 of my hard-earned money. My wife and I are retired living payday to payday and it will take months to earn that money back to afford to pay another service to help us out. Who takes advantage of trusting retired couples?  DO NOT TRUST TAYLOR REEDY OF TDR TREE SERVICE.
