As a long-time user of rebates, I always follow the instructions to the letter and *always* keep copies of my submissions. I was astonished to get a rejection from TCA for a Netgear Router/Adapter bundle I had purchased from Amazon. They claimed the submission was for an "non-qualifying" item.
Of course, the item I purchased did indeed qualify, but they compared it against another offer on the same sheet. I spoke with customer service rep "Jason, Badge 105", who offered only one option for resolution: re-submit via fax. He would not let me speak with a supervisor and he refused to actually review my original submission. He essentially offered re-sumbission via fax as a the only option, and a take-it-or-leave it one at that.
He indicated that a fax resubmission would result in an updated status within 72 hours. I certainly intend to follow up.
I've had great luck with every other rebate offer I've ever submitted. This is the first time I have encountered a redemption firm that is clearly simply trying to make it so hard to redeem that consumers will give up. I'm just getting started with these guys!
