Complaint Review: TD Bank

This is TD Bank Retail Card Services, which was affiliated with Glamour Shots. Glamour Shots set me up with a payment plan through TD Bank, which I came to see is a money-mongering and dishonest company.

I've had several complaints with this company, the first of which I called about- they take WEEKS to deposit checks, and then charge late fees for it. I had to call for this reason, which the costumer service rep told me to pay online next time.

Their online website (myonlineaccount.net) is, first of all, pretty shady-looking, but also impossible to navigate (I was ultimately unable to set up an account, since it couldn't find my information even though I was posting my full account number.)

Finally, I called to pay off my balance (and be DONE with this company) and NO ONE said anything about interest rates that I would be charged since it wasn't paid off within the promotional period (again, this was my THIRD call to TD Bank, and NOT ONE person had to decency to mention anything about the promotional period ending- I VERY easily could've paid off the balance in the first call, but then again, they probably wouldn't have gotten my money...)

So after I paid off the BALANCE (and had a confirmation number from doing so) I received a bill for $57 in INTEREST. Talk about money-mongering... I spent about 45 minutes on the phone trying to at least get them to not charge the interest past the date I paid off my BALANCE, but apparently their online system is so archaic that it doesn't alert the customer service reps of these charges so they "couldn't" have alerted me anyway. How convenient.

I am an honest, decent costumer who paid every bill in a timely fashion (even though they didn't deposit the checks in the same timely fashion) and found this customer service practice to be deceitful and money-grubbing. I will NEVER use TD Bank for ANY service, gift cards, or anything else EVER in my life again. They should be ashamed at their gross assessment of charges and poor customer service practices. They probably wouldn't even care about such a scathing review because, hey, they got my money didn't they???
