TD Bank, NA Usury, theft by deception, consumer fraud Ridgewood New Jersey
TD Bank has a phone application which when a negative balance is what is available does not contain a minus sign I accrued about $450 worth of overdraft fees before I realized this the teller and the platform worker were both extremely rude basically blamed it on me that I haven't used the banking system in the past five years were unable to restore any of this usery and theft by deception fraud report that they did to my bank account and it cost my elderly mother who had put the money in my bank account $450 of her hard-earned money did put parentheses around a negative balance and when I had inadvertently overdrawn money I thought that for example a parenthesis ($267 .05) that I had $267.05 in the account when in fact it was negative $267.05continue to use the card with it very logical assumption that that's the amount of money I had in there when I called them out on them doing this on purpose because it collects huge amounts of fees from people who make the similar mistake to me that have new accounts and haven't used TDs system of parentheses mean in a negative balance they basically sent me packing. I intended on filing charges with the Department of Consumer Affairs against them and seeing if I can get a class action lawsuit put up against them because this preys on elderly and disabled people or people with learning disabilities or people who have not used the banking system of late and it is purposeful it's obvious that they don't change it and just simply making a minus sign rather than parentheses because it just seems people into thinking their balances they don't and continuing to use their accounts when there are negative balances dust collecting huge amounts of overdraft fees for TD Bank this is usury it's theft by deception and its Consumer Fraud.

Your belief that you had $534 more than your actual balance is evidence that you do not maintain a current check register. There was no fraud, theft or deception. You do not have a valid complaint and you won’t be suing anyone.

There have been many excuses and attempts to shift the blame from people as to why they shouldn't be held accountable when they overdraft your account. But your is perhaps in the top 5, if not top 2 dumbest and lamest reason for doing so.
The ()'s is a STANDARD accounting function and you should NOT need a negative to know you have spent more than you have available. Because it is YOUR responsiblity not the bank's to keep track of YOUR funds. Now, yes the bank will show you what has been submitted and posted and yes they will keep a running balance. BUT it is YOUR responsiblity to keep track of this because unlike you the bank doesn't know what you have spent until it get the transaction.
Now, I am sure you are asking yourself...well how do I do this. The answer is simple, you get yourself a written register and write down EVERY transaction you make. And here is the great part, you can use negatives, pluses, exclamation points, hash symbols or a drawing of your pet fish to signify if you have spent more than you have available. If you are unsure of how to do 4th grade math, a simple dollar store calculator will be a great investment.
Online balances were NEVER meant to replace the register for the simple fact that a bank can not know everything you spend until it receives it. This could be 2-3 days(or longer). If you think they are unique, I can tell you that regardless of the bank you go to they will all tell you the same thing.
Oh and no I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any other bank. As for your filing a Class Action Lawsuit or complaint...after they get done laughing at you for your incompetence please come back and tell us what they said.
