This is all about the legal theft of a home by a bank.

My wife and I bought our home in 2005 through Riverside Bank in Port Orange Florida.  We had a great realtionship with the bank and I also kept my business banking at Riverside.

One day in 2010 I was preparing payroll for my employees and found that my business accounts were shut down.

I immediately went to Riverside Bank and was tole that TD Bank had bought Riverside.  All of my accounts and account numbers were changed and reopened about a week later.  Needless to say this caused alot of grief with account holders and their creditors.

While reviewing my new TD Bank accounts online, I noticed our Mortgage account was completely gone.  How to pay the mortgage???  I went to TD Bank and questioned them as to our mortgage payments.  They advised me that TD Bank had also bought our Riverside mortgage company in Fort Pierce Florida.  I was told to please be patient and TD Bank would send the appropriate paperwork.

I waited month after month.  I was told by TD Bank that the missed payments would simply be attached to the back side of the mortgage.  NO need to save the mortgage payments.  That took some pressure off.  We waited.....FOR 9 MONTHS!

Finally on a Friday, our new TD Bank payment book arrived.  The payments started that very month as the TD Bank people had promised.  Yeah!!!!

Monday we received foreclosure papers in the mail from TD Bank.

I immediately took those papers to an attorney that specialized in foreclosures.  He assured me these things take time and he would try to resolve the problem.  Made monthly payments to the attorney and waited.

Over the months a pile of paperwork was generated but there was no progress saving our home.  We were told that TD Bank simply will not deal with us although they had caused the problem.

Finally June of 2013, we are out of money and gave up.  The court says we have till Sept 10th to vacate the property.

I am 62, my wife is 70.

Do you really think we are up to finding a home to rent and moving from our home?

Has anyone else had a similar experience with TD Bank?

They have in essence " legally stolen our home."
