It has been over 7 years since I had a TD Visa.   I became permanently disabled and had a claim filed with American Bankers Life Assurance Company of Florida/ American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida for my TD Visa.  I was paying the balance protection up to the time the claim was approved and paid as I was informed.

The certificate number is 403-036-307.   The claim was approved.

After sending numerous medical records, letters from doctors and phone calls I received a letter from Grace Grande Claims Approver, TD Life Insurance Company stating that my TD Visa was paid in full and I was not to worry about the balance that they would look after it.

Well, yesterday, Oct 3, 2017 TD Visa took $6565.23 out of my TD chequing account.   I spent all day trying to settle this matter.  Nothing has been resolved.  I am livid.  I was told seven years ago this was looked after and paid by the insurance company.  I have letters stating this.

Someone has definitely messed up.   They have told me this was paid.   I have a statement from March 2010 and I was paying the balance protection.  If they have not paid this like they promised me they definitely need to.    I have gone over this incident in 2010 with collection agencies and the credit card company and I was informed this was paid in full.

The insurance says they cannot find anything because it has been seven years but they  say  there was a claim.   TD Banks says they never received any funds.

I need this matter resolved asap as I am not well and this is making me more ill than I am.      It is not my problem someone has really messed up.  I have doctor letters, forms, letters from the insurance all which were given to TD Visa, the insurance company and TD collections.

I have spent hours trying to resolve this and no one seems to know much but they can take this large amount out of my account without any proof or notice.

This matter needs to be resolved and the funds to be placed back into my bank account.   I trust you will look into this matter and have this resolved asap.

I was fooled by TD

I received a call from someone by the name of Viksit at 1-866-524-9483 that told me the funds will be back in my account today.  They are not.  I don't know if this is some kind of joke but I was fooled by Td maybe to get me off their back.

I am absolutely appalled.

How could TD Canada Trust treat their customers like this.
