TDBANK NORTH BANKING SCAM STACKS THE DECK TO COLLECT EXTRA CHECK FEES RIPOFF Bedford New Hampshire
TDBANK NORTH has created a BRILLIANT way to stack the deck against its customers in order to collect as many check fees as possible.
It has come to light in recent years that bank branches actually make a majority of their branch money from the bank fees they collect from such things as bounced checks, however this bank has found that if they REVERSE the way in which they process your checks they can in fact make even MORE check fees.
Here is how the SCAM works.
Lets say you have $500 in your account and you write 4 check for $10 each and then write one for 465, not realizing you over drew by $5. Well TDBANK North will then process the 465 check FIRST so that the other for check will bounce, instead of paying the 4 $10 checks first, leaving only the $465 to bounce.
Now TDBANK NORTH is able to charge you for 5 boinced checks verses the ONE, which in reality is what you would rightfuly owe for.
Of course the bank claims that they are "Doing you a FAVOR" because it processes the large amount first because it could be your mortgage or car payment. But inreality it is NO favor when the most you would have to pay is maybe an extra $25-$35 to your mortgage. However often times you would not even be charged for that because most companies automatically automatically redeposit the check and there is not a charge unless the check comes back the second time.
So TDS "FAVOR" has now cost you $175 instead of MAYBE $70.
I am sorry but could someone PLEASE show me "THE FAVOR"?
TDBANK NORTH knows this and this is really nothing more than TDBANK NORTH SCAM to their customers to collect as many fees as they can SCAM out of people.
The sad reality is that because banks are nothing more than a MAFIA GANG, they get to do pretty much what ever they want to do to the public and government just sits back and lets them cheat anyone they want to.
My adise to EVERYONE is to NOT do your bank with this GASNG OF THIEVES. In fact ANY bank who operates this way should be AVOIDED. Remember, unless these banks lose customers as a result of their UNFAIR and HURTFUL policies they will not change them.
We intend to CLOSE our account with this bank ASAP!
Besides their SO-CALLED "FAVORS" are too expensive.
If you are not sure if your bank operates like this just call them and ask if they process check from largest to smallest first. If theysay they do, then inform them that you are AGAINST IT because it hurts their customers and you will NOT help them do this by remaining a customer.
When they see that customers WILL stand up for each other, it puts the power back to the customers who keep them in business.
Besides bank only care about MONEY, so it will take LOSING money that will et them to do the right thing for EVERYONE, including YOU who takes a stand.
It does not matte if you have a little money in the bank or a lot.
In fact the branches actually PREFER those with the LEAST amount of money because they are the ones who are more likely to encounter check fees (which is where they get their extra budget money).
I do not know if there is some State or Federal law which would prohibit banks from processing checks this way and sure would love to know for sure, but because the corruption in government and the banks are sooo deep, I doubt there is any protection against such a SCAM.

Of course it's to increase fee income. They are a for profit institution.
A few other gothchas you may not be aware of:
most banks will allow you to withdraw more than you have in your account at the ATM or POS terminal and charge you a NSF fee.
some banks will charge a fee for each day that an account is overdrawn.
Whichever bank you chose to keep your account in, be sure to read through the account terms and conditions or better yet read through them before you open an account. This way there are no surprises and you won't make any other incorrect assumptions when you overdraw your account. The only protection you have is to keep an accurate account register and not spend money that you don't have.
Good luck.
