Team National is a big scam, do not let them take your money!

They sell you the so called benefits package that is suposed to save you all this money. They take your 2195.00,and they are done with you.

Oh, they are nice folks until you want to use a benefit.
I personally tried to buy a vehicle under the plan,in which is one of their biggest selling points. When i called in for my discounted price,I was rudely greeted on the phone and told right away that they could not help me with it.

I was then told by the general manager of the Chevrolet dealer that anyone could walk off the street and buy a vehicle as cheap as Team National could buy it.Which I did!

The big eye med plan that they have is junk also..Most any eye care facility will have a good eye med plan for a 30-40 dollar fee, which will save you more than this program, which again is 2195.00...

Have tried to buy jewelry also! One store is what they have and they will not give a straight answer to any question as of yet.

I have asked for my 2195.00 to be refunded to me and they will not respond..

Dont waste your money on this SCAM!

Oh, they paint a pretty picture. You get your friends involved and they are going to pay you BIG money..
Dont loose your friends over this big SCAM..

I've been a member of this company since December 2009. Joined because I wanted to help my brother and through using the savings got back the $2195 within 18 months. I'm a single mom with two grown children and also disabled . Money was tight, but as I continued to use my membership, I found I had extra money at the end of each month. Not a "get rich quick" scheme, just good business sense. By using the factory direct savings to carpet the upstairs and stairway with Shaw carpet instead of paying somewhere between $3000-$4000 I paid $1315.12. That covered the cost of carpet, pad, shipping and installation. I found out two years ago, that I had disintegrating jawbone from a meditation I used for a few years. I was having two teeth pulled a year, at anywheres from $200 -$250 a tooth. Got the medical discount card through the company for $119/ year, was able to use it immediately, and now have top of the line flex dentures. Estimate was just over $8200 and using the TN discount paid $4400 + an extra 10% off for paying in full with my co-branded Team National Master Card which offers me cash back at 5% for anything related to my home based business. I could go on and on. Because I used my membership I found the value and continue to do so. I have two daughters over 18 with families and they get the savings and rebates back and didn't pay anything. They're covered under my premium package. Like you, if I find a better deal, I go there. But with all the stores partnering up with this company, and the savings offered, it's becoming less and less that I need to. As for customer service at home office...none better. Direct Selling News did a survey of direct selling companies and Team National ranked within the top15 of best companies to work for. Check it out for yourself. Use Team National the way it's meant to be used and you'll find it blessings. I hope you find this helpful and encouraging, and I wish you the best!

Sorry to hear

I am sorry that you have such a negative opinion of TN.  I just became a member a few weeks ago and I take every complaint seriously.  I have purchased most of my Christmas gifts through my TN website.  I am anxious to see how much money I will actually get in the form of a check.  Like you, I am skeptical of people using religion to 'sell' an item, membership, etc.  I actually didn't get that experience when I heard the presentation.  AND, although I do not make apologies for my faith, I certainly would hope and pray that I would ever use that very faith to manipullate others.  I can honestly tell you that I feel I was as well informed as I could be in an hour presentation.

They actually stopped several times during the presentation to answer my many, many questions.  From what I have been able to deduct, I do believe that the savings on the website may be minimal.  I have actually researched the savings % vs the savings at other stores that are not in the program.  Sometimes I can save more with TN and other times, I can save more at other stores.  It is with that research and info that I make purchases.  I don't know if others are just blindly making purchases without research or not.  I do believe that it is the responsibility (my responsibility) of TN members to tell the truth and to also give our friends, family, acquaintances, etc valuable info to help them save the most moeny, whether it be on our website or at other retail stores.

If someone is not understanding the value of research, it is my moral/eithical responsibiltiy to at least try to explain.  As I have said, I haven't been doing this very long.  I have only taken the time to hear a presentation, ask questions, go through the welcome package and get on the website and make purchases.  I am hoping/praying that you are wrong about my 'team members'.  I am not a rocket scientist but I have gone through this world for too long to  be blindly lead like a cult member and to 'buy into' a mentality of brow beating and hose whipping all the while using spirituality and Christsian values, biblical scriptures and religious pressue to sell a membership.  I am not a good Christian by any means and I make mistakes all the time but I truly became a member so that I could save money on the website if possible.

But make no mistake, the idea of a potential to make extra income was the biggest draw.  In this economy, I struggle.  If I can make a few phone calls, talk to a few people each week and possibly get a nice check on occasion, I would be happy.  I can tell you, however, that I will do all I can to present the info truthfully, giving any potential new member the good, the bad and the ugly.  This may not be your experience but you haven't met me yet.  Your irritation and frustration was clearly apparent in your complatint.  If your observation and experience with TN was so negative, I am hoping that you don't let the bad apples to sour the whole bunch.  I can tell you, although I am not perfect, I will do my best to talk to others with integrity and excellence.  I'm not going to lie to you and say that I don't want to make money... I do.  But I want to make money honestly and I want my friends, family, etc to know that I am on their side and that I don't want them to do anything they don't want to do.

Some poeple are built for sales and persuasion. I admit that some people either lie to your face or intentionally withhold info when selling.  I don't know if it is because they are wanting so much extra moeny that they will sell their soul to the devil or if they are just bad people.  I just wanted to let you know that I was treated with honesty and respect during my presentation and I didn't feel like they were pushing a religious persona with a hidden agenda.  They were nice to me.  Time will tell if I will feel like my investment was a good one or not.  If you decide that this may be a way for you to improve your financial position, whether by internet purchases or by becoming an IMD, please let me know.  I would like to have you on my team and I would like to make money by helping you make money.  thanks for taking thet ime to hear my experience.

I agree that they do just want your money.Don`t waste your money on it.I also agree don`t loose your friends by signing them up.You definately dont get your 2195 back out of the program. When signing up it says you dont have to pay anything to be in the independent marketing program, but when asked about it they say you have to pay to secure your spot on the chain or pyramid.I got sucked in because my wife wanted to try it out.It didnt pan out and we was spending way more than could ever be made.So i just cut my losses.Beware and remember these people are trained to tell you what you want to hear to get the sale.Everyone has the same story too.Don`t listen to their storys, its just a high pitch sales sch.Trust me i been in sales all my life!

(((FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE THAT SAY THIS PROGRAM IS NO HIGH SALES PITCH,i HAVE THE COMPANY DVDS TO PROVE IT.SO TEST ME!!))

Thank you for posting your report.  I have just started researching TN.  MLM type businesses turn me off but since friend/co-worker shared it with me I though I would take a look.  I am interested in the dental plan and a vehicle in the future.  If you could share with me the deal you got on your vehicle w/features I would like to see what he could find through TN.  I am also concerned about MLM's coming between friends.  I would rather leave it alone if it's like the other MLMs.  Thanks

I have been a very happy member of Team National for 3 years now. We love it, love it, love it. It was the best financial decision we have ever made. We have saved well over $16,000 on things we were needing such as gas, oil changes, ink cartridges for my printer, shoes for my 9 children, car insurance, a ring, cell phones and even toilet paper and shampoo. My son saved over $1000 on his engangement ring for his fiance. We have earned many checks with commas in them. We also know several people that have earned big checks. Everything thay have told us was true plus more. Most of the reports I have seen seem to come from people who just don't bother to get enough information in order to use the savings. I am so thankful that we wer introduced to this company.

why all the hate?

#21Consumer Comment

Mon, October 06, 2008

first of all. why is i t that when a person gets riped off by a mlm or other scam and they try to inform others about the scam or getting riped off do people reply with hate replyes.
the person who started this post got riped off by tn. and wanted to inform other guable people that the same thing could happen to them if they turn loose of the thousands of dollars tn wants for a membership to save thousands of dollars.
if a member calls the phone number given to them to apply for the savings offered then the person should get the savings or be informed that they have called the wrong number or are not doing the right thing in order to get the savings and should be directed to the proper number or web site.
i cant see having to carry around a laptop or having to pay for internet service for a cellphone as the only way to get savings aproved for things as you all say we buy every day.
from what iv gotten from this is that a honest person was being riped off by someone and when they complained about it then the religous hatemoungers and fanatic tn worshipers pounced on her or him and basicly started stoning her or him.
something iv noticed about the hatemongers and tn worshipers is that all of them have been with tn for 3 years except the poor sap of 8 months who was backslidden and is now whiped into submission and going out into the hiways and hedges and forcing them to come in and if they refuse then they are either hose whiped or crucified or burnt at the stake. but tn forbid that a person report being ripedoff and wanting justice. and if all mighty tn with in whom we trust wont give back the stolen money to the person and the person cry louder then the bible thumpers will try and make the honest person feel like a worthless sinner.
and after seeing how the self proclaimed saints of the allmighty god tn treat people
i would never tell other about tn. and at the same time i would not advise people to read the bible. since it seems that the bible readers turn out to be the most hatefull replyers of every website that still lets people speak unhindered.
the ones who claim to full of love are the very same ones who gush out hatred when someone disagrees with them or points it out.
the replies to my post by them will prove my point and show the truthfullness of my statements.

This company has a good rating with the BBB

#21Consumer Comment

How is it possible that a company with a good rating with the BBB and thousands of testimonials as to the validity and benificiality of it's business possibly be a scam or a rip off?

This is an isult to the public's intelligence as well as to the BBB. Is this poster and the small handfull of other cynical people right and the rest of the world wrong?

Really, think of the concept of this business (it's shear genius). Individuals are able to plug themselves into a large group and have buying power. People, you all have seen how this works. Most people have their health insurance plans provided as a benefit at their place of work and pay a fraction of the cost they would have paid if they were on their own purchasing these plans. Why? Because their company has buying power due to the amout of potential customers within their business.

Team national is a large group with buying power and the ability to buy directly from manufactorers. With this package you are not spending money, really. You are gaining money. Furniture from $1700 down to 4 to $600.00. The savings are rediculous and not possible without being in with a large group with buying power. You spend $2200 now but then you save many thousands of dollars over the course of your lifetime if you use the benefits. This is a no brainer. Everyone should buy into this company.

I just purchased this package yesterday and, of course, have not used it yet, but I did go onto the web-site of the person who sold this to me and saw incredible deals on furniture.

Anyone who decides not to become a member, truthfully, it's your loss.

Whoever this poster is, I'm absolutely positive that your negative experience was of your own making. Really, how could a group this large NOT have buying power? It's rediculous and no sense at all to believe that this is a rip off. The truth is, if you don't buy this package, you are ripping yourself off.

My wife and I have been in Team National now for 8 months. For the first five months we did not do anything with the benefit package. We didn't shop online, try to save anywhere else and we didn't try to share the concept with anyone else.

Guess what??? WE GOT ZERO RESULTS!!!

We plugged in to the system three months ago and are moving slowly but have saved over $4500 on things like insurance (personal & business), printer cartridges, restaurant discounts, and several others that I can't think of right now. We have also MADE over $2000 in commissions, and referal fees.

Bottom line, if they disappear tomorrow, I'm $4500 to the good so I'm completely happy. If I was working a little harder, we would be a little farther, but that is MY FAULT, not TEAM NATIONAL'S.

The ONLY way you can lose at this business is do what I did the first five months......NOTHING. If you do NOTHING, then you will get NOTHING...sorry, that is just the way life works.

Saving & Making Money with Team National is REAL

#21Consumer Comment

Tue, July 24, 2007

I have been a member of Team National since May 10, 2007. Already, I have saved just about $600 on things I intended to buy anyway - ink cartridges, a window air conditioner, a telephone, a portable DVD player, and a number of books. In addition, I have made $1725 by sharing this FANTASTIC company with my friends and family - some of whom have joined, some of whom have not - either way is fine with me; all I do is offer to share it with them if they're interested! It's not a pushy sales company, it's just a simple, fun system that is available if you choose to use it, to get the information to your friends and family. Team National has been nothing but a positive experience for me - friendly people, immediate response to my questions, and real, down-to-earth savings! I can't wait to buy a new car and new furniture - that's coming soon!

I think you misunderstood

#21Consumer Suggestion

Fri, June 08, 2007

I think you may have misunderstood the person on the phone at Team National. The person on the phone cannot help you with the purchase of a car, but their website does. You go on the website, type in the particulars of the car you want, and get a printout with the discounted price. Then you take that printout to the dealership and they give you the price.

How do you know you actually bought the car at Team National's discounted price if you couldn't get any help with it?

Yes, anyone can go into a dealership and get a discounted price for the car, but only if you tell the dealership how much you are willing to pay for the car, or if you have supporting documents (like Team National's printout). However, how do you know how much of a discount you can actually get on the car if someone (like Team National) doesn't tell you?

I actually saved $900 on my homeowner's insurance using Team National and my brother saved $1500 on his, and we are on the same $2195. In addition, our mom saved $2500 on bedroom furniture and my other brother, who actually works the program, has saved much more.

Have you gotten your money refunded yet? I am curious about that since they claim to make refunds if one is not satisfied.

Team National Great Company

We have been involved with National Companies for 8 months now and have saved a lot of money and made some money also. It's all a matter of how you approach it. In every presentation they are very upfront with you about using the benefits. It's very simple, if you use the benefits you will save money. They make no claims or guarantees! It's your resposibility!! And they are extremely helpful when you call needing information or help.

As far as the business side of it. Once again, take responsibility for your own actions! If you use the system they teach and work it, it works!!! They make no promises or guarantees here either. If you treat it like a business it will pay you like a business.

I'm sorry if anyone has a bad experience with it but it's like anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it. Unfortunately, there are bad companies out there but this is NOT one of them. Check out the Direct Selling Association (DSA)website and you will see.

Where else can you pay $2195 for a membership (lifetime that is) and cover 5 generations of your family? By the way, the membership has been this price for 10 years, they've never raised the cost of it. I would suggest checking it out before you knock it. Get informed!!

I have been a benefits owner of Team National for only 5 months and I have never seen such a lucrative company. The founder is a world class leader and built this company on honesty and integrity and Christian principles. If you investigate this business through BBB, Chamber of Commerce and the DSA, one will find out for themselves what a fantastic company this is. Talk to some of the people involved personally and judge for yourself. I have saved alot of money in 5 months and chose to become a marketing director because it is too good to "not" tell people about it. This company pays me to tell others about the savings. I still can't believe the income, the savings, the remarkable people. I love Team National!!

I have been a member for a year

#21UPDATE Employee

Mon, March 19, 2007

It's unfortunate that you have had a bad experience with National Companies. I have been a member for a year now and am very pleased with my decision in buying a membership. I paid the $2195 for a life time membership and along with it my parents, grandparents and children also have full benefits. I have also saved money on jewelry (which we contacted them personally)They were very helpful and even found us items that were not on the website at a fraction of the cost of a retail store. I also saved money using their travel benefit. They decreased the amount of a rental SUV on my last vacation. Believe me, i shopped around for the best deal and with one phone call, they beat all my other deals. We also bought my mother a sofa recently from their factory direct and saved money there as well.

Also, we routinely buy off the internet so we have gotten comissions back from stores like homedepot, best buy, walmart and toys r us (to name only a few). We have saved on our phone bill by changing to voip. Last but certainly not least, I recently went to my eye professional and had to get a new pair of glasses and contacts. They compaired the eye benefit with my eye insurance and found that when compared, the Eye med program saved me more money that my insurance did (BCBS).Again, as stated above, my family members are also covered with Eye med. These of course are only my experiences with Team National.

If the readers are still in question, please get informed! Go to the DSA and find out more information.

Yep, I would have been a lonely person.

#21Author of original report

I certainly would have been a lonely person if I had tried to put my friends in this business. Fortunately enough for me they finally gave me my money back and the people that I got involved in the business got their money back also. This is after I began to use my advertising contracts for my companies to notify people of my experience with the company.

This person who is claiming to be a religous person is condemning me for telling you people about my experience with Team National. And that is what I have done here is tell my experience with the company. All I can say is they talk about what you can save. You can save 2995.00 by staying away from this company, lol. Anyone who can ask for a discount can get bigger discounts than this company. I experienced that and also my friends that got involved experienced that.

Anyway, dont condemn me for what I know as this person is doing. Oh, this person is going to pray for me, lol. Needs to pray for themselves. My uncle that got me involve is a religous man also and he knows of my experience with the company and he is still ripping people off today.

Dont give me this religious story to make it sound right. It would have even sounded better if you had left your religion out of it.

Team National, National Companies False accusation of Ft. Lauderdale Rip off Scam Ft. Lauderdale Florida

I have been in Team National for 3 years. I have saved a lot of money, and I have made a lot of money. I have shared this with friends from church, work, and social settings. I have never had anyone who ACTUALLY used the benefits package, who actually had the courage to pick up the phone and share it with someone else, come back with any degree of malcontent; as the individual with the negative attitude on this site.

I have only heard of this kind of attitude from people who wouldn't follow our simple system, and share this awesome company with people they care about. Maybe this individual doesn't really care about anyone important enough to share this with or have anyone care about him, who knows. You are a lonely bitter soul and I pray for you as I do for all lonely bitter souls.
