I received a letter from my Insurance Company stating that I had insufficient funds to cover my direct debit this month. Knowing that I had the funds I went online to check my bank balance. There were 3 unknown transactions, (2 had ES after them and 1 had GB), totalling quite a hefty amount and 1 transaction awaiting clearance. I am a 51 year old woman in receipt of the Disability Support Pension and the mongrels took just about all of it!!!
After the initial shock, I contacted the Bank and cancelled my card and arranged for a new one to be sent. (Could be about a week)

I am now waiting for the paperwork to arrive so I can hopefully retrieve my money. This will take about 30 days I've been told. In the mean time what do I live on? Who will pay my bills? I have had to ring and cancel all payments done via Direct Debit too. I live alone and have spinal injuries, so I now have no way of accessing any funds. So thankyou very much, you have made my life even more miserable!

I have no idea (just like the rest of you) how my card number was obtained. I log onto Internet Banking every fortnight to pay my bills, and my daughter takes my card and buys food for me and my pets. After a little research I found that 1 of them was a XXXX site and I have most certainly never been to it.

Would you beleive that I can't find anywhere in Australia to file a report like this? I would love to find other Aussies who have been bitten.

I hope these people can be stopped before too many others have to endure the pain they inflict.
