I wanted to download a current driver for my Canon printer.

When I called their number, the person asked if I had given my password to anyone,I said no.

He asked to access my computer, which I allowed.

He displayed pages that appeared some "unknown parties" had access to my computer and had turned off numerous privacy and access blocking features.

He then said he could transfer me to a party that could fix my computer and protect it with a lifetime warranty against hackers for $199.99.

After he transferred me, the person told me that only a Certified Canon Network Advisor could make these repairs. I told him I would talk to my husband, could I call him back? To which he said he would hold for 5 minutes.

When I came back, I said I wanted to take it to the store I bought it from. He became indignant and rude, stating that he "couldn't understand why I did not understand that only they could fix my network", repeating this statement 2 times.

I hung up, he called me back. I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude or the way he talked to me. I hung up.

I had my computer scanned and thoroughly checked out by Office Depot, there were no problems with it.

TechiGuys  made it appear to be at risk----Scare Tactics.

Avoid them at all costs!!
