Technomarine Technomarine Divers watch cannot go into water and warranty doesn't cover resulting water damage! Internet
Purchased a Technomarine cruise, msrp $1995.00. Within a week it was filled with condensation and stopped working. I thought maybe there was a dead battery...maybe a simple issue, and I sent it to Technomarine to repair. Their customer service was horrible from the get-go, but to my surprise, they informed me that this brand new DIVER's watch had water damage (it had never been in more water than a shower) and was not covered under their warranty. Now they claim that you have to take some action of screwing down the crown of the watch (something that is in no way explained or outlined in their one page crap excuse for a users' guide) and that unless you do this, just a "few seconds" of water exposure will ruin the watch, and it will not be covered by their warranty. I have never heard such a crock from a company that claims to sell waterproof/diver watches- especially two thousand dollar watches! Their failure to explain this in the user manual, with HUGE RED LETTERS and their failure to repair/replace or stand behind their watches is at the top of the "all time worst" customer service experiences of my life. Whatever you do, do NOT purchase a Technomarine watch. Don't even accept one for free! You'll be extremely sorry that you did. Spend $10 on a comparable watch at Wal-Mart. At least it will work.
