These are seasoned criminals, undercutting honest vendors by simply taking payment and keeping it. They maintain a high profit margin by eliminating the need to deliver what was purchased.

They first stonwalled -- no responses at all. All emails were ignored. When finally contacted a month later by phone, they easily and smoothly promised a credit card correction within 48 hours. Never happened. After several weeks, promised again in 72 hours. And so on ...

Most of their victims probably give up in disgust long before this, so most of what they steal is pure profit.

For a complete analysis of the structure of the fraudulent shell company names and fictitious names filed, see the page at http://members.ispwest.com/pfaall. This page slso identifies the person behind it and where you can file formal complaints.

The Florida attorney general's office was stonewalled, then issued a subpoena for EMS Computing documents after many strong complaints by victims. Hopefully, they will build a strong enough case to criminally prosecute the single person behind these scams.

Phone numbers and addresses for the various aliases are usually not productive, except as evidence of the fraud. They ignore communications as long as possible, then tell transparent lies to delay, disgust, and discourage anyone who hasn't yet given up.
