In early December I ordered a custom shutter from Tejas Window Covering. I gave them a $100 deposit. When I had not received the shutter or heard from them by the end of January, I called to check on the status. After numerous calls, they finally said they gave it to someone else.

They came back to my house to re-measure the window. They said they would "rush the order." I called today, Feb 26'04 to check on the status of the shutter. George, the manager, told me he would call me back in 5 minutes. That was 5.5 hr ago. I called again at 12:15 PM. The man in the office told me he would check on the status of the shutter and call me back in an hour. Two hours have passed.

When I originally placed the order, I also ordered blinds for the back of my home. Those were deleivered and installed within the promised time frame of one week. I has no reason to believe they would not be truthful or ethical in the business based on their past performance.

I am appalled in the manner they run their business and their dishonesty in the interactions they have with me regarding the shutter. I feel I have been extreemly patient with them and made every effort for them to rectify their error. However, as a busy professional, my patience has dimished and I feel they are stealing from me.
