Telecom USA A Verizon Company Complete and total scam. Does our government care to help those who may get trapped by this? Jacksonville, Florida
I have been sent a bill from "Telecom USA" saying I owed for a collect call. I am assuming they found out we have a Verizon cell phone account because the rest of their name is "a Verizon Company". Our home phone is in my name which is the number which was supposed to have been called, but billed in her name, which is who our cell phones bill is under. They dated the supposed accepted collect call more than 2 months earlier than the bill date. We do not accept collect calls. They have since sent another letter stating I will be blocked from network service if the bill isn't paid. I got news for them, it ain't getting paid, as I called their number 1-800-226-0014 and let them know.
Please, anyone who has gotten a letter like this, DO NOT PAY. Contact your congressman or representative and beg for a law that can put these scam artist in prison. Don't be fooled by this clowns threats of not paying the bill. I will also be going down to my cell phone provider and complain to them and make sure there is no way my information is being gathered from them for purposes like this scam. Be wary of anything that has Telecom USA in their heading.
