Complaint Review: Telephone Advisory Service Shop America

I orginally ordered a Dr. Atkin's set of tapes on or about March 22, 2002. I received the product and was charged the correct amount, even though the product was misrepresented. Four months later, I was billed $5.95 on July 20, 2002 without authorization. I called 800-458-5937 number and left the information requested to remove me from such charges on Aug. 22, 2002. I wrote to my charge card company as required. I was charged again the $5.95 on Aug. 16, 2002, without my knowledge when I called on the 22nd.

The number called for the original order was 770-772-1952, and the article was shipped from SAMG, 1462 Elmhurst Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. It stated charges would appear as Shop America, so when this other charge showed up as Telephone Advisory Service, I didn't have a clue until I called the 800 number and started looking on the internet. I am in the process of writing a second letter to my charge card company denying the unauthorized charge. Would it do any good to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission?
