I will never buy anything or recommend any friends to telescopes.com On February 5th, 2008 I went to their website and found a telescope they said was in stock. I purchased this telescope and added 2nd day shipping because it was a birthday gift for my Mom on February 8th. They charged my credit card and when the 8th rolled around my Mom never received the telescope. It is now February 22nd, 2008 and my Mom still has not received her telescope and I am paying interest on my credit card for something we don't have. I have been emailing and calling customer service since the order was placed and they keep telling me that they are wrapping up the process and should ship it soon. They did however credit me for the 2nd day shipping. Here are the problems I have with telescopes. com

1) Website stated item was in stock so I based my time sensitive decision based off of that. I could of easily found some other website to fulfill my order.

2) We waited for the telescope on the 8th and it never showed up. They should of contacted me right away to let me know so I could cancel the order and select a replacement item.

3) They already charged my credit card and now to receive a refund I will have to go through a long process. I also did not file for a refund yet because they have repeatedly told me it will ship this week. They have told me that 2 weeks in a row now.

4) They constantly give me the run around on when my order is going to ship. I believe they are waiting for the item before they ship it.

This place has caused me a lot of distress and I would be more forgiving if this telescope was for myself but it was a gift to my Mom and the run around they have given me is really pissing me off. I will never use them again.

The latest email from Telescopes.com stated that my product would be shipped on February 25th and an email would be provided to me with the tracking number. Today is February 27th and I never received the email that it has been shipped. I have requested a refund. Their website states that once a product is in the "shipping" process it can not be refunded right away. The problem I have with that is that it has been in the shipping process since February 5th. This company has done nothing but lie to me. I hope I receive my refund without getting the run around and I will never order from them again.

Today I received an email from Telescopes.com stating that the telescope I ordered was indeed in stock all along but a computer error prevented it from being shipped because it said that it was back ordered. They said it would ship on Monday the 25th of February a good 20 days days after my original order date. The excitement we had for this gift has become more of just receive the d**n thing and be done with it. Thanks for making my Mother's birthday so special. We will see if it ships on Monday.
