I was an Employee there from Jan of 1998 until May of 2001 due to a layoff. I went back to Teletech as of Nov of 2001 and was informed by the Human Resources dept that I would maintain my Seniority. When was hired and called back to file paperwork, I was then informed that I lost my seniority by 2 days from the timeline from the Layoff from May 25th, 2001. I accepted because I needed to work. During Christmas of 2001, I called in because I was sick. The same day, I received a call from the Training dept stating that if I didn't come in, I would have been terminated. I had to drive 18 miles to my job just for them to see how sick I was and then they sent me home. During that time I was at a near tragic circumstance and I was Hospitalized for almost 2wks. The Supervisor was contacted & informed. He states to come in with a doctors excuse. I found out that I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and was in & out of Conciousnous. I almost went into a Diabetic Coma and the company spoke with my mother on my behalf. I was Dehydrated my Sugar was 635. The Doctor's infomed my Fiance that I nearly died. While I was in the Hospital being treated, I was informed that I was terminated from my Employer on 1/4/02 due to my sickness.
