We are Financial Planners who are also mortgage solicitors. We represent a small independant morgage broker. Doing mortgages provides supplemental income as well as a propsecting system for our Financial Planning practice.

As the other people who have filed compalints against Teleten, we received leads that were: not wihtin the parameters of our agreement, sub standard prospects, hard to read, not veriified as outlined as part of the service, obviously HELOC candidates when we specifically asked no to be sent these prospects.

Teleten employees seem to have standard excuses for not delivering (i.e. bad lists, bad data, key personnel on vacation or sick, etc.), a tendency to pass the buck, do not return telephone calls as promised, do not resepond to facsimiles and generally have no people skills or customer service training. We also get the feeling many Teleten's employees are using phony names. There seems to be an inordinate amount of Jones, Lee's, Smith's, Brown's, etc. We have been trying to get a refund for weeks despite numerous calls and faxes.

Our last letter to a Mr. Brian Brown (our Latest contact)indicated that if we did not get response we would file complaints with the FTC, the AG's office in CA and with the Executive Directors of the California Assocaition of Mortgage Brokers and the National office. We have already filed a complaint with the BBB of the Souhland, CA. The FBI fraud Div. is also a possibility. We are awaiting a refund of $1,200.
