Temco Controls Auto Renewed my subscription against my wishes Spokane WA

Teamviewer says I renewed my subscription and is now threatening to send a collection agency after me for a $646 subscription that I do not want and do not use. 

I had auto renew turned off on my Teamviewer account but they went ahead and renewed it anyway. Luckily I purchased the subscription using paypal so was able to turn off auto renew there before they got payment. 

I have filed a complaint with BBB but that is just going in circles. Teamviewer says I was supposed to cancel in writing 28 days before the expiry. I say I had auto renew turned off and that should be good enough. I checked through their web site and EULA and there's no mention of this written cancellation policy there. Its just something they tacked onto the agreement after I purchased, far as I can tell.

I would just ignore them but now they're threatening to send a collection agency after me which will affect my credit rating.

Resolution: I would like them to cancel the subscription renweal and not contact me again.

This is a case regarding TeamViewer, not Temco Controls.
