Tempest Motors Deceptive & Questionable & a Ripoff! Akron, Ohio
I do NOT recommend this place. I bought a car in November 2010. Within the first month they had to replace the tube to the gas tank and a few other items. Because it was within 30 days they paid for it.
However, the next month the intake manifold went. They refused to pay for it. I complained (a lot) and then they offered a $100 towards it, the other $800+ was mine to pay! And, in order to get the $100 they offered to pay, I had to drive 35 miles to their repair center. I didnt have a choice since the motor would be ruined if it wasnt fixed. As for rust mine was painted over. Once winter got into swing, the paint over the rust bubbled for all to see.
Not long after this original review in November of 2011 my car starting leaking (more like pouring) antifreeze all over. Within the 14 months the following went wrong, intake manifold, fuel intake pipe, cooling system, ball joints, voltage regulator (& battery), ac clutch, the list goes on and on. For $4200 I was completely ripped off. Check out Google reviews as I'm not the only one. There are some 5 star reviews on cars.com but they are all written by carman, and carguy etc. Suspicious? I this so. Do *NOT* buy a car from these people!
