I purchased a new roof from Tennessee Metal Roofing, Inc at the end of July '19, installation started in August, it was completed 2 days before Thanksgiving. 4 months of misery! Chris Gilley, their installation manager, installed the roof so badly that I finally had to have the entire thing removed and pay for ANOTHER roof (non-metal) to be installed (different company). I now have a $23,000 pile of trash. This was per the recommendations of 3 independent roofing inspectors and the numerous leaks that I've battled since installation began.

Jim knew of the state of the installation upon completion in November, "promised" he'd start addressing them at the start of December and disappeared. Middle of December I reached back out to him to suggest he start an insurance claim for the amount of my roof since it wasn't actually a roof that was functional, he disagreed and said he told me he didn't understand where I was coming from since he told me he was going to address it at the start of the year.

Nope, I have his email that said start of December. I then sent him the first inspection report from Roof Doctors, stating that there were so many critical flaws in the installation and it could not be repaired and needed to be removed. He never replied. I paid for 2 more different inspections. They said the same thing. 3 experts all agreed that it's the worst installation they've ever seen.

My next step was to engage a construction lawyer. He sent Jim a demand letter for the cost of the roof I paid for that was not functional and the cost of the interior damage repairs, Jim ignored it. Posted the Facebook alert on Hip Mt. Juliet, other customers of his that he's done this to started coming out of the woodwork. It must have found its way back to Jim, because he's threatened to sue me for slander. Must suck to see your company's awful work all over the internet, but the definition of slander is making an intentionally untrue "spoken" statement. With that being the case, my hundreds of inspection photos, 80 pages of emails, screenshots of texts with his installation manager and having actually lived this nightmare since last July take the accusation of libel off the table.

He also tried saying that he told me they planned on fixing my roof in the Spring. Nope again, he "promised" the start of December, last year. Another reason it pays to save all emails. Funny how his version of the truth starts to veer wildly from what the actual evidence I saved says. I sent him the picture of my $23,000 pile of trash now in my yard and he wanted me to say yes or no to having them come out to "bring my roof up to standard"! Please look elsewhere for a roofing company. Save yourself the misery and your home the damage.

Look at my pictures. Hard to refute actual proof. He tries to discredit every bad review (found a 5 star review on Google from his salesman Mike Haskin that was in my home, that told me all of the lies to lure me in, so be very skeptical of the great rating) and make it the customer's fault somehow. He tried accusing me of conspiring with HIS installation manager! Like I wanted to get screwed over and wanted Chris to do the worst install ever!!

This is his business practice, this is what he considers a job well done. Look at the pictures, zoom in on the thousands of scratches, look at the open screw holes all over, look at the destroyed chimney, look at the crooked panels, the too-short drip edges, look at the shingles that are still sticking out. RUN!
