Teri Beattie represents herself as an interior decorator. As part of her service Ms. Beattie provides her own measurements and specifications to Gina Plancarte, 6808 Church #5, Gilroy, CA to sew drapes, bedspreads, make pillows, cover chairs, etc. In November, 2005 there were problems with the items Ms. Beattie provided. Ms. Beattie insisted that I pay her in full at that time and promised that she and Gina Plancarte would make complete their obligatons in a professional manner and that she would provide me with a proper invoice for the items I paid in full.

These problems included the following and to date (March, 2006) have not been corrected:

1. Queen bedskirt is too large
2. One of the shower curtains is missing tie-back/sash
3. The other shower curtain's tie-back/sash is the wrong
material and color.
4. One shower curtain fringe is on the wrong side and the
pockeet sleeve too narrow.
5. Both shower curtains are still too short
6. There are permanent wrinkles on the window treatments in
living room and dining area.
7. Two of the four dining room chair cushions remain covered
with defective material.
8. Verification of correct size and shape of master bedroom
window treatment not complete nor installation provided.
9. Estimate for the cost of sofa pillows not provided as
promised.
10. Invoice for items/services provided not received
11. Unused material has not been returned.

In December 2005, Teri Beattie cancelled two appointments and was a "now show" on the third. Teri Beattie then told me she would "make right" the problems referenced above after the holidays because she was ill and busy.

In January 2006, Teri Beattie delivered one queen bed skirt, two shower curtains, and one tie-back/sash for one of the shower curtains. After we agreed upon a time for delivery, Ms. Beattie appeared at my door, abruptly shoved the queen bed skirt and two shower curtains into my doorway, said she was in a hurry and would get back to me within the next few days and ran down my walkway.

That same day, I inspected the items Ms. Beattie had just dropped off and immediately telephoned Ms. Beattie to inform her that both of the shower curtains still were too short, the pocket sleeve on one shower curtains was still too narrow, the fringe had not been corrected on that same shower curtain, one shower curtain tie-back/sash was missing, the other shower curtain tie-back/sash was the wrong color and fabric, and, the queen bed skirt was still too large. Ms Beattie again informed me during that telephone converation that she would get back to me in the next few days.

It is now March, 2006 and numerous phone calls and requests from me to Ms. Beattie have gone unanswered.

Additionally, it was my understanding that included in the price I paid Ms. Beattie was installation of window treatments, return of unused material, and presentation of invoice for services rendered as is the norm in the decorating business, none of which have been provided by Ms. Beattie.

Teri Beattie has failed in her obligation to perform services per our agreement. This is unprofessional action and certainly not the service I paid for nor what I expected from Ms. Beattie or Ms. Plancarte.
