This is in response to the report written on 10-29-04.

I completely agree with this person. I am also a tenant at Terracina Apartment Homes. I have not had any physical interaction with the new management, however, I have tried several times to contact them.

I have neighbors who blast music all night and who I see out on the steps smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol most of the night. I have also caught other tenants trying to "adjust" their meter for their electricity. I have called the office probably 50 times and left messages and have NEVER received a response to them.

One of the new "Security Guards" gave me a number to call during hours when the office is not open. The company is Valley Protective and their number is 480-777-0228. However, I have called twice and they've never shown up or returned my call either.

I also found out that the new management is raising rent effective January 1st. Of course, this only applies to new leases or those that will be renewed after this date. My source has informed me that they are trying to remove all of the rif-raf so they can rent to higher class tenants.

I have lived here for 3 years and do not consider myself rif-raf. I have a college degree and a great job. Most of the people who live here are normal, hardworking individuals. However, some of the tenants that Terracina has rented to in the past 6 or so months have been kind of shady. Although this is just my experience with my neighbors, this is not indicative of all new tenants.

Prior to the new management taking over, I had already considered NOT to renew my lease this spring. Now I am positive that I am not going to. There are MUCH nicer places to live with MUCH BETTER MANAGEMENT than Terracina.
