I'm new to free government phones. There are several that service Arkansas. With ANY government free wireless service, you have to look at the FAQs and really do your homework to make sure you understand what you're getting for "free"!

From their website:

"Unlimited Text, Plus Talk, and Web" "FREE SMARTPHONE"

Specifically for Arkansas, the site says this:

Voice Base Plan 500 MOU: This plan includes 500 voice minutes, and unlimited text for free each month. Unused minutes do not roll over.

Broadband Base Plan 500 MOU and 1GB: This plan includes 500 voice minutes, unlimited text, and 500MB of data for free each month. Unused minutes and data do not roll over. This plan is only available to subscribers with data capable handsets.

I tried to copy and paste my entire conversation with Garry, rep for TerraCom, but it automatically disappeared before I could do so!!  In short, he evaded my questions for well over an hour. There is no free smartphone: you can upgrade to it later but have to pay for the phone and the data. SO much of what's on their website is a complete sham

But here's the BIGGEST bait and switch of all: your 500 voice minutes are limited to LOCAL CALLS ONLY! And Garry, bobbing and weaving on nearly every question, took well over an hour to finally admit that the minutes weren't nationwide like every other wireless phone company!
