Hired Terry Anders for small shed remodel.Paid him $600& he kept not showing up. Left msgs with his girlfriend-he never returned calls--at one point they just shut their phone off.! after abt 6weeks,I finally started posting on FB,he didnt like that & started sending me nasty & threatening msgs. He refused to refund my money & taunted me to sue him. I called local sheriff, theyre very familiar with how many honest folks he has ripped off & said he does this all the time! He knows that filing a lawsuit is costly,& keeps any assets in his girlfriends name. He admitted to receiving welfare for his kids& dared me to report him to Social Services. I have since been contacted by Several others saying he did the same to them. He has a criminal history. & uses that to intimidate his victims. He has numerous judgements against him from many many others he has ripped off. He contacted me from a post I had put in a Facebook group asking for help. I am recovering from Cancer & scraped together the money I gave him to repair my shed, which was close to caving in. Not only did he completely refuse to return any if the money I paid him, he seemed to enjoy taunting me about it. I know elderly folks who gave him money out of their savings, who he did thr same thing to. He has been clever enough to avoid being prosecuted, & the poor victims that did bother suing him,& won,will never get a penny since he uses his girlfriend to hide assests. I have a remarkable chain of nasty messages saved on my phone; its a miscarriage of justice that Terry Anders can continually scam money like this & get away with it

This happened over a year ago. We filed a police report, local law enforcement was VERY familiar with Mr Anders, and said he had done the same thing to many folks. I had Cancer at the time, he typically picks on sick, disabled and elderly; & uses the same scheme--very helpful, friendly, talks you into giving him money, then quits answering calls and you never see him again. He even had his kids with him.... anyone that files a lawsuit & gets a judgment never gets a penny---- he works only for cash, has all his assets in his girlfriends name, and currently has several unpaid judgements against him. I let him take some valuable scrap; he & his kids stacked a wood pile in order to do the work I hired AND paid him for to get it away from the shed he was to repair; I told him to come pickup the 3 sheets of dented, used steel roofing(which was the wrong color)-which he never did... beware! Yes 100percent true we started out with a job to repair a shed. Then was asked to do many other tasks as well which included everything from firewood to cleaning out a truck full of garbage to piles of junk laying in yard.
Yes 100% true I did throw away a garbage can that was full of rotten stinky garbage and when I went to move it the handles broke right off and it spilt down the side.
What is false is her pretending to have paid me for the other things. Having paid me for my metal. Having paid for the last load of firewood.
If you add all the other things I did and add it to the firewood and add it to the price of the metal roofing then subtract it from what she actually paid me she has shorted me 120 bucks.
She then informs me she is tight on money and may have to sell the place. She then says can we work something out for the rest of the money and slides her hand in her shirt. I say I am not interested in anything but getting paid. She the says I have some oxy maybe I could sell for her . I say I am in no way going to commit a felony to get this done.
This is also the same business that washburn County has shown up over meth issues.
I then told her that it would be best if I just walked away. She starts flipping out calling me names. Threatening to"turn me in" cuz she knows I get food share. I tell her go ahead I report on my self income reports each and every month what I make.
I leave she calls washburn county and claims I stole "stuff" Again 100% false. I even told her if she was so upset about a nasty stinking broken garbage can heck she could have one of mine.
She claime I never showed up yet if you read the conversations in her post how could what is discussed have taken place if I was not there. Like the firewood, like the metal, etc.
Lastly ....We are following up with a formal complaint of a wrongfull police report as well as a slander suit.
