TestMasters Testmasters. Wrong learning style. No mercy. santa monica, California
Interested in following my ideal of becoming a lawyer, I sought out test prep assistance. I was a re-entry student and unsure where to start the law school journey. I felt I needed to become familiar and comfortable with the exam process to become closer to my goal. I do not think I am wrong in assuming a test prep coarse would provide comprehensive information on it's subject in order to throughly familiarize them with the subject.
Looking online for an LSAT course, I found Testmasters. Enticed by their claims of guarenteed higher scores, I enrolled in their course ($1,800). I thought Testmasters would educate me, in order to familiarize me with the exam process and thus, I would be closer to my goal.
However, by the second day of class, I knew the course was not for me. (And, I was devastated that I lost $1800 that quickly). Basically, from my interpretation of the classroom lecture and materials, most of the material relied on Bolean Algebra and formal logic. In other words, their teaching style did not fit my learnig style. And, if the goal is for me to learn and pass, this class was not going to work for me.
I contacted Testmasters to request a refund and I was denied. I tried to recoup some money and sell the Testmasters material online and was subsequently received email threats from Testmasters to cease the sell of their materials and immediatly retutn them to the company. (Another person has posted an identical letter on this website in another complaint).
It has been a few years now since this experience but I stills leaves me feeling this was the biggest ripoff I ever fell for.
