  • Texaco Express Lube
    1202 Highway 31 NW
    Hartselle, Alabama
    U.S.A.
  • Phone:
    256-751-1050 (Rick)
  • Category:

Had oil changed and new belts put on car. Wanted to replace winshield wipers and asked if they had any. Was told by Rick that they did. He measured them with a tape measure and installed new blades. When I left it started to rain and I could see that the blades were too short. Rick put 20 inch blades on auto when it should have been 22 inch.

I called back when I got home and spoke to Rick, he told me that he would replace them when he got some new blades in. If I had not found the blades to be short I would not have been told. I feel like he put the wrong blades on auto with no intent of putting the wright ones on unless I found out.He never told me that these were wrong and he would replace them when new ones come in while I was at Lube business.

Well it has been two weeks and I called and Rick still does not have new blades. It is not a money issue, but it is a RIPOFF issue.

If the owner(Marty) really wanted to make this right with me all he had to do was to look on ticket for that day and find my name and address. I am sure that I was the only one to come in and get oil change, change belts, and get new wipers. I gave them my name, address, and phone number at time of service. So marty you are like "Rick", you don't want to do what is right.

Unfortunate Mistake, I just happened to stumble across it on the internet

As the owner of the Texaco Xpress Lube in Hartselle, I was surprised to see this complaint. I just happened to stumble across it on the internet. This is the first I have heard of this complaint. We take the responsiblity of servicing customer vehicles very serious and find it unfortunate that this mistake was made. I would welcome the oppurtunity to make this problem right. However it has been one year since this incident occured and I have no way of contacting the customer with only his first name. The employee who sold and installed the blades is no longer with us. I am very dissapointed to see this complaint posted on this site without the oppurtunity to address the customer.

I would also like to say after reading some of the complaints listed here, that Texaco Xpress Lubes are independently owned and operated. If you have a bad experience at one, it does not mean that all are the same. Our employees do not work on comission. Therefore have no motivation to sell un-needed services. We are in the customer service business and as business owner I want to do everything I can to make sure each customer has a positive experience when they trust us to service they're vehicle.
