Complaint Review: Texas Designe and Build

 Elederly Woman, 72 yrs old, Hired TEXAS DESIGN & BUILD to Replace her 13x22 (286 sq ft)deck with Pine wood (rounded edges) 1x6x13. They used 45 boards. They came to the house and unscrewed the old boards from the existing frame, and charged $697. They then replaced the 45 boards: they screwed them into the existing frame with galvanized screws (approx 700 screws) and charged her $2657 !!! The Elederly lady has to pay EXTRA (another contractor) to get the new wood on the deck sealed (and stained if she so desires). $3284 to take off old boards and replace w/new ones on an existing frame. Is that a Ripoff or what?
