Texas Direct Auto Do Not Do Business With This Company Houston Texas
On August 8th, 2008, I flew to Houston from New Orleans to pick up 2007 Cadillac Escalade with 18K mi. from Texas Auto Direct. Spoke with Matt at dealership first, who insured me that the car was in prestine condition, as noted on the E-Bay auction. Upon my arrival, I waited 2 hrs to see the car.
The Escalade had part of the bumper disconnected from the vehicle, and what looked like a huge chip on the hood. They took it in the back for another hour for repairs.
It looked good after the repairs, so I decided I would still purchase the vehicle. I was driving the car to a local bank to get a certified check for the vehicle, and upon hitting the brakes I heard what sounded like a gunshot from under the vehicle. I'm guessing motor mounts or something with the axle.
I returned the car to the dealership. They said it is still under warranty and I should take it. I refused.
I asked Ed, the Mgr. for a ride to an alternate location given that I was somewhat stranded, and he refused. They did nothing to rectify the situation.
I have purchase cars and boats on the Internet and never had an issue. Most people try to reflect high end vehicles honestly.
