This morning early, I emailed their sales department about a used car my 18 year old daughter was interested in purchasing.   It was found in their internet inventory.  I was told it was still available.

At 12:47 I called the internet manager Jennie Vandergriff again to advise her we were driving in to look at the car and would be there at approximately 2:00 pm.  The dealership is about 60 miles away.  She said that was fine.

When we arrived at the Used Car Center, some poor salesman had to tell me that the car was sold at auction.  A car fax indicates it was sold at auction on March 1st, or about 9 days ago.

Ms. Vandergriff would not even come down to the sales center to attempt damage control. The Sales Manager finally came out at the last minute.  Excuses were made, "she didn't know".  Isn't that her job as internet manager to know what is on the internet?

This is not my first rodeo, I have bought many, many cars.  This was no accident or mistake.  This is a lower priced bait car to get people in, in an attempt to upsell them.

Jennie Vandergriff had more than one opportunity and 5 hours from my first phone call to check inventory.  That car was gone and has been gone for several days, and rather than tell me, hoping I might be interested in another car, she LIED to get me in the dealership.

This car was still on the internet at 5:30 today.

I went to Texas Nissan of Grapevine about a year ago because I had browsed their internet inventory and they had pages full of Murano's for sale in the $15,000's and this was right in the price range I was hoping for.  When I got to the dealership there were about 6 different Murano's on the lot.  I decided on one and we went into his office, he immediately asked me for my drivers license and had me fill out paperwork before ever discussing price.  Once I was approved by a bank for a loan he told me the Murano I wanted would be $20,000.  I very quickly told him I had printed out the web page that clearly states the pricing was much cheaper and I even had him log onto his own website to see there were no Murano's in that price range.  He told me that none of those Murano's were available.  I was a first time buyer and was worried I would not be approved anywhere else for a car.  I left that day with a Murano which had power steering issues, bad breaks, and a handfull of other issues.  I still to this day can't get over the fact that I was taken advantage of by the salesman and also by the financing department which took my $4000 down payment and tacked it on to the price of the car instead of taking off of the purchase price (I realized this much later after looking at my paperwork).  Ultimately I bought a piece of s**t Murano for over $25,000.  I would not recommend to anyone to visit this dealership.
