TGA The Grant Assistant Did not explain that this was a trial. Made it impossibe to cancel trial subscription. Las Vegas Nevada
I received an e-mail from The Grant Assistant advertising a free CD that helps you learn how to write letters applying for grants. In the body of that e-mail it was stated that the only charge would be a nominal fee for S & H. There was nothing about trial subscriptions.
I received the CD, and the charge for the S & H was debited from my bank account. One month later I noticed that $29.99 was debited from my account. I wasn't able to check in to it at that time due to a health emergency, and then I forgot aout it.
Th next month when balancing my checkbook, I noticed that there was another debit to the same company for the same amount. At that time I started to check into the company to see what had happened.
I finally found a couple of sentences buried in the "terms and conditions" that told about the trial subcription. After another long search I found a form that I could fill out and e-mail to the company to stop the subsciption and refund my money. I have since sent two more of the e-mails, but have yet to hear anything back from the company.
