Text of the letter follows:

The system indicates that your name ws randomly selected through a computerized ballot system as a winner for the SECOND QUARTER of 2008 Sweepstakes draw. Congratulations!!!

All participants were selected through a computerized ballot system drawn from Readers Digest, Publishers Clearing House, Online Sweepstakes, Internet Games etc.......

Enclosed, is a check for ($3987.25) which covers both the administrative Taxes and Clearance fees of your winnings. For authorization of this check, please contact your agent Angela Newton immediately at Tel:1-514-692-8074 Your winnings must be claimed not later than July 23,1008.

Please remember to quote your Reference Number in all correspondence with us in other to avoid unnecessary delays. Congratulation again from our staff and sponsors.

Clearly, they do not use a spell checking or punctuation-type checker when they generate these letters. The real kicker is all the different companies mentioned in the letter, and on the check. Also, the different amounts listed in the letter and on the check. Granted, it's only off by forty-five cents, but still you would think they would be more on the ball!

This is a fraud letter. Throw it away. Do not send them money. There is no lottery that you have won.
