On July 12, 2008 we were in Carmel, Ca. with our 15 month old female Great Dane for a dog show. We noticed our dog was not feeling well, she was limping and had a smelly, vaginal dischrage. We did not show her Saturday morning and instead made an appointment with this vet. (Recommended by the show's catelog) This clinic agreed to see our puppy at 11:00am and we took her in. They said to return at 2:00pm to speak with a vet.

At 2:00pm we returned. The receptionist informed us that Danni, our puppy, had 'growing pains and a normal vaginal discharge.' We were never allowed to speak with a vet. We were told that we were 'non-resident' and we should follow up with our regular vet when we got home. We were charged $80.00. We were never allowed to speak with a vet on duty. At 3:30pm we were rushing her to the ER vet in Monterey nearly dead.

Our puppy had a very serious condition called Open Pyometra. The limp was from the severe infection she had in her uterus that was all the way up her left side. She had puss dripping from her vagina. She nearly died.

She spent a week at UC Davis medical school after the ER Vet in Monterey stabilized her.

This isn't about the money, alothough we do feel we were taken for $80 and then dismissed. This is about incompetance.

We do not recommend this clinic.
