The Berry Company Automatic renewal without signatures they refusal to end contract based out of Matthews North Carolina

We have been a small local buisness in the Jamestown Ny area for 32+ years. For the majority of that time we had Alltel, which is now Windstream, for our local phone service and phone book advertising.

Every year the sales reps would make an appointment. We would come to an agreement with an ad and price for that years yellow pages. Then a contract would be signed. They would be paid according to the contract. The way buisness should be done. No problems ever.

That is until Windstream hired out the advertising to The Berry Company. The rep that was assigned to us made his appointment. The deal was done for one year.

Since 2010 we have not seen a rep, agreed to any pricing or contract and have been billed continuously for the past 4 years at a premium with finance charges because they have consistently renewed our ads without our permission.

We have faxed, emailed, and called with cancellation requests with no progress on any front with the exception of them not renewing our ads.

Charging a buisness for something they have not agreed to over and over again is wrong and unethical. We believe they do not deserve one penny for anything beyond a signed contract and we will not pay them a penny, regardless of any suit they try to file against us.
