The Cabin Grille Harassing Customers, False Advertisement, Unprofessional and Questionable Behavior Blue Ridge Georgia
My husband and I decided to stop in this restaurant to eat. This was our third attempt at trying to see if the service might possibly be better.
We were seated and chose the buffet. I chose the $9.99 selection. My husband chose the $19.99 selection ($10 more)that included (advertised on the sign) all you can eat crab legs and prime rib.
As we started to fill our plates, we were told the restaurant was out of prime rib. Also please note, the food looked terrible and as if it had been sitting for quite some time.
We asked our waitress could they perhaps reduce the price by $5 (50% of the additional cost) since one of the two items was no longer available. To our surprise the Manager/Owner (female) came over and had a very raw, tiny piece of meat on a plate that was quite embarrasing. I cannot imagine a restaurant Manager/Owner actually thinking this would be acceptable.
To make matters worse, the Manager/Owner (Amy) stated that she couldn't reduce the price because my husband might eat "a lot" of crab legs and might possibly make up the difference there.
My husband claimed he wasn't going to do that but she pressed on. She had offered to cook him ribeye or something but of course, this is not the same as prime rib so he politely stated, "I wanted prime rib".
So after the Manager/Owner, Amy, stated she couldn't do anything basically for us, we got up to leave. Remind you, I had not eaten but one bite of a baked potatoe and my husband had only eaten or cracked open one crab leg.
She ran across the restaurant as if it were on fire, grabbed the phone and stated she was calling the police. I said, excuse me? She stated we were running out on a tab. What a joke of a Manager, much less an owner?
We thought this hysterical and my husband stated, please do call the police. We want a report on this. They can see from our table we haven't even eaten. She hung up the phone at this time. She called her "husband" Bill out there.
She continually tried to interrupt me but I stated to her to remove herself from this situation as she was a pathetic Manager. Bill stated this was his wife but remarkably, much smarter than she, pointed her in the direction of the kitchen. Thankfully, she was away from us with what we perceived to be her "redneck" "unprofessional responses and behavior.
After explained to her husband what had happened, he proceeded to explain they did have prime rib and he could fix some for my husband. My response....Why? So you can "spit" in it? He stated they didn't do those type of things.
After several more minutes of harassing behavior, my husband asked him again to call the police (Bill actually had them on speed dial??). Guess he's used to upset customers??
He pretended to contact them but no one arrived after about five minutes so we proceeded to leave...with the Owner (Bill's) blessing.
What a terrible uncalled for experience. To project that we were criminals walking out on a meal after consumption!! We're still contemplating suing for harassing behavior and defamation of character... Not sure. But beware....
Do not eat at this establishment!!!
