Complaint Review: The Car Czar

I was quoted $1100 in parts plus labor to change a cooling fan clutch. The tech said it was due to the cost of the fan and the part would be over $700. I went to AutoZone and the part was $199 new. Then, I went to the Chevy Dealer and he said the part would be $379.00. I was quoted $350 plus labor to change a thermostat. The part at AutoZone was $25.99 and it was $49.99 at the Chevy dealer! I feel totally taken advantage of by the Car Czar in Citrus Heights. Then, I paid for an oil change, but the electronic monitor that shows the oil life never reset like it does when I have JiffyLube do it for the same $40! Hmm Very dishonest and I find this mechanic a burden! Thought you guys should know!
