I knew buying a car was a big deal. But i didn't know it was this big a deal! I willingly bought a Honda Civic Dx from the CarDepot of Rock Hill. The asking price was $7000. I just thought it was high because of resale value or because it's a high theft item. As it was my first time ever buying a car from a "dealer" i went and got the car. Before i bought it, i asked the "dealer",,,please give me a carfax. I asked for one three times! Never got one. So, on my day off from work, i went ahead and put my bank account in the negative to order the carfax myself. NOW i know why they wouldn't give me a carfax! This car was in a car accident 6 months ago, where it was deemed undriveable from the scene, was towed! So, now i am very, very angry that i was decieved,,so, i did research on this vehicle, only to find out, that this car ,,,a 1995 hoda civic dx, 178,000 miles,, kelley blue book value, 4,450 only if never wrecked, repaired, or rusted! So, i start looking at auto trader.com, other used car sites, ebay, and went to other dealers private and public,,,NOONE is selling a 1995 honda for 7000!! All of them are under 4,000! So, i call the "dealer", tell him the problem, how he decieved me, and how noone is selling this make and model for that much, what the kelley blue book on it was,, he told me,,,and i quote"i did not decieve you,and i cannot lower the price, you knew it was 7,000 when you bought it!!" so, i told him, i will be contacting a lawyer, the BBB, and then i saw your site! Buyers beware! they have sold numerous cars that have fallen apart while being driven! My co-worker had also purchased a car from here, while driving, she came to a stop light,, her front wheels FELL off the car!!!!! Another person told me her bumper fell off while driving down the road!!!! Also, after i bought the car, they were nice enuff to pay for a new stereo, they lost the faceplate to the one in it, so, they sent me to sound on wheels, well,, my brother bought his truck there too, and they won't fix his stereo!! told him there was nothing they could do about it. two-faced?what kind of dealer is this???? I now have a new name for the car depot,, ripoff ralph's! I am now, having trouble with them, because i need a car, but i do not want to pay 7000 for a wrecked car,,,and i don't know what to do!!! if anyone has suggestions?

what is the first thing you do before buying a vehicle??? if it's used you research it. true the merchant shouldn't be selling faulty cars but come on man.....you paid 7 grand for a car that you could have got for 3,000 less had you researched first. did you do a test drive? personally i think this is partly your fault....as a consumer we always figure the merchant is going to do right...well we live in a dog eat dog world. you need to make sure your not getting screwed over instead of thinking everyone is gonna do right.

The car depot is so shady. when they got a report from the BBB that i sent them, they decided they were going to take back the car instead of trying to work it out!! worst thing about it? i took the car to get inspected today, the mechanic told me what i already knew,plus more!! it needed a new transmission, bushings were going bad, tires were bad!! i went to car depot to give them the inspection report, and she told me to give her the keys back, she is refunding my deposit!! when i asked her why i was paying so much for the honda to begin with, she flat out told me, i double the price of the vehicles for people like you who have problems paying all your bills! does that make sense to anyone???? or, am i just ummmm, stupid!! was that not rude?? i don't know about ya'll, but i will never go there again, i will never send anyone there!!
