We enrolled our child at The Carmel School due to promises of superior teachers with smaller class size and a safe learning environment. We got anything but. Our child was singled out and tormented by the teacher. Our child, who in kindergarden, was even left behind during nap time when a fire alarm went off. Yes, she woke up alone in a classroom with alarms blaring... This was in a class size of 11...
We enrolled our child in public school for first grade and the public school was more advanced than the Carmel School. Our child lacked confidence in the classroom due to fear of reprisal from the teacher.
Public school did a great job bringing our child around, however, we are now paying more than Carmel School tuition for tutoring so that we can fix the kindergarden foundation that should have been obtained for a fee. I highly recommend anyone even considering this school to think again. Numerous children have suffered at the hands of this school.
