The Carter, Mitchell & Blake Group LLC aka The CMB Group aka Kevin Robinson aka Jimmy the Roofer accepted the initial payment in the middle of December to fix the slope, pitch, outside trim and replace the roofing surface to eliminate roof pooling and reinforce the structure.  It took them over 45 days to complete what called a "finished" job.  Over 75 emails and mutiple phone messages later, and they still have not completed the job, the water is still pooling.  They claimed to be licensed in Washington D.C. and Maryland, but a check into their licenses resulted in no licenses registered to The Carter, Mitchell  Blake Group LLC and any other aka listed above.

Kevin Robinson, who appears to be there principal and/or CFO as desigated in his LinkedIn.com account, has promised over and over to finish the job.  He rarely responds to emails and has yet to complete the work.

Terms of the Deal:

We were on a limited budget, so Kevin said he would have his subs complete the work (subs that work for him regularly- highly trusted) and certify all work under his construction license (Kevin claims to be a master roofer).  Kevin Robinson, not his subs collected all checks and all currency/checks were made-out to The CMB Group.  Secondly, Kevin stated that at initial inspection that he knew exactly what was wrong with my porch roof and could complete the work within my budget.  He guarateed that he could add 10 years of life to my porch and any buyer of my house would be safe and secure in his repairs.  In the end I have paid over $1,800 and the work isn't complete.  It has been over 3 months.

Final Notes:

Kevin Robinson continues to post advertisements on Craigslist and other sites like daype.com.  He will not answer his cellphone from any of my phone numbers and no longer responds to emails.  Unless he corrects and finalizes his work, I am expecting to file against him in small claims court.  Lesson learned- buyer be ware of a good deal.  The work still needs to be completed, so I will have to hire another contractor.
