I have been a member of this church for over a year but I have been inactive for about 5 months. I finally woke up with the help of my step father. At one time I actually believed this church was true but then I started doing an independent critical study of the church using a variety of reputable resources, not pure hate literature. The general authorities tell members to not read anything that isn't faith-promoting. That is just an attempt to control your mind.

They want you to learn the history that the church has rewritten and doctored up. They don't teach anything that is problematic. Isn't it interesting how they don't teach about anything bad that might tarnish the church's reputation? The many sources I have read have devoted years to the critical study of the church. They don't hate the church they just want to tell the truth. The church has cheated my husband who has been a member all of his life (mostly inactive) and me out of $6,500. I'm willing to cut that loss because no one who sues the church to get their tithing back will win. Most Mormons are good people and I would trust them in some cases, just THINK FOR YOURSELF. Click on the excellent sites below to get the truth.

WHAT kind of God do you serve? Not the God of Heaven! If you give your money in tithes, it is for the purpse to use the money for Godly acts! So if the church is not doing that, you have a right to sue because it is a rip off! Anyone can pitch for money and use the Bible to get it, but once they get the money, they can spend on vacation, clothes, etc. God didn't say throw your money to the dogs that call itself "church".
