A job ad on several websites for a Text Editor/Data Entry/Administrative Assistant for a company called either The Dating Group or Mamba Inc. is a SCAM! I live in Texas and worked for a week editing text for this so-called Russian Dating service a week before Thanksgiving. After telling me I earned $140, they said they were stopping the editing division for 2 months and offered me another higher-paying position as a "Local Agent". The job description sounded just like the Nigerian Scam, opening bank accounts, doing balance transfers keeping 5% and sending them the balance. I declined and kept requesting the amount owed to me. Yep, you guessed it! They have disappeared and I just saw the exact same ad with a different company name on a job website in Illinois! I also stumbled on a forum with others who went through the same experience so I have sent emails to CareerBuilder.com, IllinoisJob.com, and the Parent Companies whose names were involved to pull the ads A.S.A.P!! The Dating Group does have a real website but appears to be in Russia. I found no American address or phone. Thank goodness I only lost time and no money! I could have been using that time on a real job! Take my advice stay away from these jokers!!!
